DESIGN/BUILD CONTRACTING
CVB’s experience in design-build construction projects dates back to the early 1990s, when this format began growing in popularity. Today, we continue to use the design-build for a wide variety of projects, such as parking structures, retail, office tilt-up, and hotel projects. Our strategic alliances with architects and engineers allow us to quickly and efficiently assemble custom teams whose expertise can be directly applied to a multitude of construction types.
When it comes to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection, CVB has the knowledge and experience to prepare bid packages that take into account the timing required to build a design team, while managing the competitive process of buying out these trades.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
CVB Management & Consulting, formed in 2003, provides comprehensive program, project, and construction management services. Our teams of seasoned construction professionals act as an extension of an owner or developer’s staff to ensure that complex projects are efficiently planned, designed, and executed.
We provide a full range of preconstruction services that include budgeting, scheduling, value engineering, and design review. Our experience in both the public and private sectors is broad reaching, ranging from renovation and seismic upgrades, to tenant improvements for small commercial establishments, to new construction of some of the largest and most complex structures being built today.
TENANT IMPROVEMENT (T.I.)
CVB has extensive experience in Tenant Improvement work, dating back to its initial roots in the Pacific Northwest. Our original work with Nordstrom, having earned us over 70 new stores, consisted of three interior Nordstrom renovation projects in the Seattle and Portland areas during the mid-seventies.
In addition, we have experience with multiple unit “roll out” projects for Restoration Hardware (29 stores in eight weeks’ time in 11 different states simultaneously) and several bank projects for Seattle First National Bank, Bank of America. We have dedicated senior management for our TI work in our throughout California.
